Starting to think that AC2 is not going to arrive tomorrow despite promises from Gamestop. $10 extra for overnight shipping for a guaranteed arrival on the street date; however, it says it won't ship until ... the street date? And I have no e-mail confirming the shipping.

So either the e-mail just isn't here yet, or Gamestop owes me $10.

i.e. this is kind of depressing but not serious because being depressed over this is silly

- Annotated Bibliography due on Thursday. Check for proper interlibrary loan set up in case it's screwed up
- Any reviews for Woolf 'essay' due on Wednesday. Edit sections about the sun comparison, try to be more subtle, actually read the sections meant to be read
- Exam on Friday and presentation possibly on Wednesday. Compile list of verbs, use Google translator if necessary, find information and make it simple; handout is in English
- Mumbo Jumbo sections for Tuesday. Start gathering up information for presentation, also set a date for that

so there's this paper i wrote for my senior seminar class.

(i.e. the most important class you take in order to graduate)

i wrote it in approximately 1 hour.

i have spent the last two weeks hating myself for it, thinking about how shitty it is, and what the hell was i thinking turning in a piece of shit like that harghdsklhshl;f

it made getting to sleep problematic sometimes.

today we got the papers back.

I need a better holy shit icon, because this one doesn't quite represent how surprised I was when I flipped to the last page and saw that written there. I was physically startled by it.

NEEDLESS TO SAY, THIS WAS AN EXCELLENT WAY TO END THE WEEK/START FALL BREAK.

Let's see here ...

- Revise Septimus paper by Thursday.
- To The Lighthouse through 85 by tomorrow, through 127 for next Wednesday.
- Sacred Hoop and Postmodern Introduction responses for next Thursday. Write own observations on separate sheet just in case.
- oh my god italian
- Spend at least part of break putzing through the chapters, memorizing the >9000 verbs, and at least trying to comprehend the WIMBA exercises.

And for home ...

- Need ink cartridge
- New electric toothbrush
- New desklamp
- KAT-TUN paraphernalia
- Check Gamestop for Arkham Asylum and possibly other games.

Not that I actually expect to get anything done over fall break, but I can list, can't I. I feel better with lists.

HELL YEAH IT IS MOTHER FUCKIN' SNOWING

I THINK I'M THE ONLY PERSON HAPPY ABOUT THIS

Sometimes I forget the fabulosity that can result from SCHOOL SPIRIT ... or at least the promise of a pizza party for the winners.

This year's Homecoming theme is Back In Black - i.e. the AC/DC song. As such, the freshman dorms have a competition running: whatever floor can decorate the best in accordance with that theme gets a pizza/Subway party. Apparently the floor I'm on has won for the past four years running, one of those which I was privy to. This year, they are determined to win again.

I woke up this morning to find the hall lights had been covered in pink cellophane (fire code hazards are temporarily lifted for the day). There are large gold stars on the floor, decorated records lining some of the walls, and there are two Rock band sets up in the floor's two lounges, one for a Battle Of The Bands and one for Teh Winnar of the aforementioned battle. Guys all over the floor are wearing manly rocker clothing (i.e. there are many open, loose, or not-actually-present shirts, dur hur hurr), the girls are dressed up as groupies, the kitchen is prepared as a coke-snorting lounge, the room next to me has a four-monitor setup playing AC/DC on repeat and Christmas lights strung all over it, and a room down the hall from me is completely trashed. I can only imagine how much fun that was to cause, and how much fun it will be to clean up.

It's quite faaabulous, I must admit. Makes me wish I'd had something to do with it, but oh well, I am a solemn and un-fun senior. I MUST SIMPLY OBSERVE. also I'm lazy as hell.

So that's the Floor Update of the year.

In other news, a potential spring break trip to Italy for an art credit is looking mighty tempting. It's a bit pricey, but it covers flights, hotels (REAL HOTELS!), travel, and most meals. The question remains: do I dare go to Europe again, and will it be worth it (especially given how behind I am in Italian at this point)? HMMM.

oh i think the judging is going on right now, i hear cheering and screaming again.

I found a hairbinder on the hall floor today while I was pacing around and, given that it looked exactly like the ones I have lying around, I assumed it was mine, having been caught on and finally fallen from the cord of my headphones.

Except. It wasn't.

Now I have an extra identical hairbinder and I'm a little confused. bbbbbbut that's just kind of strange so.

Finally finished TFA, and am caught up with my current school reading ... with the exception of Italian, ahaha. But we'll see where that goes sooner or later.

Pointless update. However, ought to do laundry. And possibly clean up my desk. Get to go home in about a week for four days, celebrations abound etc. etc.

Thursday: 8.30 PM, HFA6 for The Hours. But no class!

Next Tuesday, Oct 6th: 4.45 Blood Drive. Perhaps have more carrots ahead of time.

- Mrs. Dalloway to end, oh good god.
- Microtheme 2 due on Friday. Focus on Septimus, maybe.
- WIMBA exercises for ch. 2, before Wednesday at the latest.
- Rosetta Stone exercises, also before Wednesday - at least have a look.
- Find something to focus on from Song of Solomon. Watermarks seem to be strong. Finish reading it (ch 7 onward) and then go back and peruse for more watermarks. Have paper finished by Next Tuesday.

Internet kicked the bucket last night at around 2.02, which is why I disappeared and never reappeared. Though two times in one year is hardly frequent, it's still annoying and could potentially be hazardous on a college campus. Every time it happens I expect facebook-related suicides.
